Performances and live music
The 10th BAFICI will be offering concerts featuring music related to this year’s film lineup and the history of the Festival. Following is the complete program of shows, to be held at Cine-Teatro 25 de Mayo (Triunvirato 4436, Villa Urquiza).

SATURDAY 12th 9 PM
SHORT FILMS BY DANNY WILLIAMS WITH LIVE MUSIC. “The Velvet Underground Rehearses, Factory, October 14-25, 1965”, “Harold Stevenson #1 and #2” and “Trips and Parties”, with live music by Todd Griffin and Catherine McRae, from the electronic music group The Quavers.

Open Air Argentine Cinema
The 10th BAFICI adds a new attraction to its lineup: a new screening venue, outdoors and located at one of the emblematic spots of Buenos Aires: Pasaje Carlos Gardel, a passage located in the very traditionally Buenos Aires barrio (district) of Abasto, the birthplace of the “Zorzal Criollo” (Gardel) and a site of ongoing tourist appeal.

During the two weekends of the festival, we will be screening Argentine films awarded by BAFICI in previous years, as well as “Luca”, a documentary about the fascinating life of Italian musician Luca Prodan, famous in Argentina for his work at the helm of Sumo, a band that was key in the evolution of Argentine rock in the 1980’s.
