At Bafici 2006, we were able to see Dream Land, and astounding mid-length film by Laila Pakálnina which revealed, without any dialogue or explanations, the rich inner life of a quiet Latvian garbage dump. Here she goes again: a simple lake and those who live in and around it, which include fishes, birds, and a lovely group of fishermen who drink alcohol in extravagant quantities.
