Synopsis

Chris Bell and his brothers are bodybuilders, and use or have used steroids. Chris makes a first-person investigation documentary, like Michael Moore's. As in Moore's documentaries (or pamphlets), Bigger Stronger Faster* is a high impact film, full of controversial statements, and in which the documentarian throws himself body and soul (especially body in this case, appropriately). Also, like Moore, Bell tries to interpret his country through one of its many controversial aspects. However, unlike him, Bell wants to know and is not sure beforehand: he wants to investigate first in order to think and argument later. In Bigger Stronger Faster*, we assist to an investigation –with humor, irony, and also pain– on sports, the pharmaceutical business, and political convenience in front of the fluctuating bans and arguable permits for anything that improves the sportspeople's performance. And also, on the expansive figures of Hulk Hogan, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the cinema of Reagan's eighties.
