      Synopsis

      Two documentaries and two fictions. The documentary The Oak presents us with an old oak that has been observing the town of Seja for seven hundred years. Pakalnina’s camera also follows Theodore, a retired man who rides seven kilometers a day on his bike to have a beer at the bus stop, sitting on a bench, watching people pass by. Another loner, Maria, puts on a cap and goggles and goes swimming even though the water is frozen. But there are other dangers in Water. As in the other fiction from this program, Fire, where a girl has the uncomfortable power of setting fire to everything she touches.
