Synopsis

Echoes from The King of Comedy and Misery, memorable stories about the culture of fandom and its dangers, can be perceived in the plot of this work by Sandra Gugliotta and stage director and playwright Javier Daulte (Criminal). Here, also, a celebrity is kidnapped and the purpose is far from economic blackmail. The victim (Arturo Puig) is the star of a family sitcom, and the kidnapper (Luis Machín) takes him home with the sole purpose of entertaining his sister (Verónica Llinás) and his nephews, fans of the show. “From the kidnapping –says Machín– a series of situations unfold that start the machinery of insanity of this family, and that establishes some sort of parallelism with TV fiction: they’re characters crossed by something that exceeds them, they’re on the edge, disturbed.” The siblings have a very strong relationship, some sort of incest that never materializes, and is at the core of that atmosphere of tension.
