    Synopsis

    One of the men who appeared in Chi-chi-chi Le-le-le… was businessman Ricardo Liaño, who has seen better days and used to be "a millionaire in dollars", as he himself remembers. Un hombre aparte is entirely dedicated to him, following him while he prepares a new move that will get him back to the headlines. As Liaño tells of his past achievements and the verbal splendors contrasts with his modest life as a retired man, the truth surfaces: Liaño is a has-been who refuses to admit his situation and hopes to find balance with one last blow. We turn from displeasure to distress, from admiration to guilt. Liaño is another one of those old men we see sitting in park benches, distant from a world that no longer knows what to do with them.
