Synopsis

Among the many events that led to the explosion of popular and chic porn industry in the 70s, there is one called Jack Wrangler, who crossed several times the borders and periods to survive as witness and protagonist of the rise of the hedonistic party of flesh in ecstasy on the screens. As several cases of that period, Wrangler did not become a gay porn star by economic necessity but for pleasure. Born John Robert Stillman in 1946, he grew up on the edge of the Hollywood scene, first shone in a gay career, and then went into heterosexual pornography, a spin that allowed him different popularities. If that was somewhat an unusual twist, the rest of his life was going to be on the same course: Wrangler left behind his days as a porn-trouserpress, married the popular singer Margaret Whiting and began a career in music. In this documentary, Jeffrey Schwarz joins every footage that exists on Wrangler´s life, creating not just a good vintage collage, but bringing together the old seventies porn community for everyone to tell their naked story.
