Synopsis

Developing a lumpes-glam style, with some vintage quality to it, not nostalgic but as making an aesthetic of recycling, like an ecology of the overdone beauty of discarding, Sergio De Loof’s poetry became a rare example of the domestic post-vanguard, where fashion design, live performance, literature and so many other things were mixed among a very rare vitality, informality and freedom. From an absolute complicity, Miguel Mitlag brought an eye close to De Loof in the late nineties, to capture his particular sensitivity and elliptical thinking at the peak of its expansion. Ally with a movement on its best years, as the informal gallery "Belleza y Felicidad", De Loof organizes exhibits, happenings, fashion shows, an ikebana contest and a musical play based on Goethe's Werther, edits the Wipe magazine, and performs exclusively for the camera to continue his efforts to demolish any border that dissociates life and art.
