Synopsis

As in his previous film Rois et reine, this time with Emmanuel Bourdieu on the screenplay, Desplechin unfolds its array of attractions to narrate a long, complex and exciting story of family secrets. Some of the actors and actresses had been in the previous film, and even the family is called Vuillard again, although the names of the characters are different (however, Jean-Paul Roussillon reprises his role as the clan’s patriarch named Abel in both films).
