Synopsis

In their first work together for television, Federico León and Martín Rejtman take the topics of a drama class, and following the steps one after the other, they subvert the meaning. Everything is centered around a drama professor that teaches young kids -a remarkable Fabián Arenillas- and takes the idea of "acting training" to the outbounds of fundamentalism and hilariously, including not only theorical classes about how to cry -through the film Ponette- but also scenes from his own life, in which they should follow the same attitude of the acting moment. The most surprising thing is not just the simpathy and the naturalness of the way that the kids enter to the game, but how the characteristics of these two directors syncretized in which means their artistic worries: the reflection about acting and the question about what an actor is, that can also be found in the previous films directed by León -in Todo juntos and Estrellas, co- directed with Marcos Martínez- which joins the dissected acting style and the capacity to see the daily detail that Rejtman has been cultivating in all his films, from Rapado to Los Guantes Mágicos.
