Synopsis
The playlist that Nick and Norah listen to is not infinite, but it includes many songs by, among others, Vampire Weekend, Devendra Banhart, We Are Scientists, and Band of Horses. They share a passion for music, he’s a young nerd who plays the guitar, she’s a beautiful rich girl, and when they both coincide in the search for a show by a small band in the enormous city of New York, and she asks him to fake being her boyfriend for just five minutes, it’s clear that romance is right outside the door. The awaited second film by Sollet, who had drawn a lot of attention with his debut Raising Victor Vargas (shown at Bafici 2003), doesn’t hide its identity as a teen romantic comedy, because what it has to offer is a great romantic comedy that overcomes any generational barrier.
