Bio

Born in Buenos Aires. She’s a journalist, writer and cultural critic. In 1984 she founded the magazine Alfonsina, the first feminist newspaper in the democratic era. Among his works are El affair Skeffington, El petiso orejudo, A tontas y a locas, El fin del sexo y otras mentiras, Vida de vivos y Banco a la sombra. In 1999 she received the Nexus Award for his antidiscrimination work because of her articles on sexual minorities. In 2002 she obtained a Guggenheim scholarship to investigate about politics and sexuality in the seventies militancy, and in 2005 created the program Portarretratos for the Ciudad Abierta channel. She is currently coordinator of the Communication Center of the Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas and is the editor of El teje (UBA), the first Latin American transvestite newspaper.
