First edition of BAFICITO

Primera edición del BAFICITO

A newcomer in the programme of the 11th Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival is BAFICITO, a new section aimed at children who will face the task of choosing the winning film by the audience vote.

BAFICITO boasts its own sections and a competition where a film is to be chosen out of seven, among which are Jacques-Rémy Girerd’s "Mia et le Migou" (France-Italy, 2008); Tomm Moore’s "Brendan & the Secrets of Kells” (2009) and the Argentinian Grupo Humus’s "Básicamente un Pozo" (2008). There will also be a season on McDull, the Hong Kong piglet created by Alice Mak and Brian Tse, and another on French director Michel Ocelot, best known for his works "Kirikou and the Sorceress” and “Kirikou and the Wild Beasts”.

This new section, which not only includes animation films, aims to entice the young audience into the festival.
