Talent Campus - Introduction

Between 31 March and 3 April will be held the fourth edition of the Talent Campus Buenos Aires, organised by the Universidad de Cine in collaboration with the Berlin Festival - Berlinale Talent Campus and BAFICI. Along with its editions in India, South Africa and Sarajevo, the Talent Campus is taking place in Latin America for the fourth time.

In the course of four days, different seminars and workshops will be held, run by outstanding professionals, scholars and intellectuals of the region and the world. They will offer a theoretical and a practical framework and will work on the basis of their own experiences in the hope of providing elements for the cinematographic education. The main objective of this Talent Campus is to generate an exchange context for young Latin American filmmakers who will benefit from the contact with distinguished figures and the exchange of ideas and projects. In its previous editions, the Talent Campus Buenos Aires boasted the presence of filmmakers and theoreticians such as Chantal Akerman, Florian Koerner, Angela Schanelec, Claire Simon, Heinz Peter Schwerfel, Lisandro Alonso, Collin McCabe, Jean-Michel Frodon, Hugo Santiago, Peter Schumann and Luc Moullet, among others.

In this fourth edition, the TCBA will have as conceptual axis the relationship between cinema and politics, understood in its various forms. This bond goes all the way through the history of cinema up until the present day and leaves its mark in the creation of projects as well as their execution and distribution, to the extent of becoming a key point to understanding contemporary cinema.
